European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
Three times a year WECM teaches the foundation “Principles of Equity” course to EBRD bankers in their London HQ. It is a foundation equity course, covering the whole investment cycle and presenting EBRD’s equity investment activities. Around 30% of EBRD’s portfolio is in equities, either as direct investments or through the almost 100 fund managers they invest in throughout CEE, CIS and now also the Southern Mediterranean.

African Development Bank
In September 2016, WECM gave a course to African Development Bank in Abidjan. The course was held simultaneously in English and French. It was a wide ranging course, covering valuation, direct investments and fund manager assessment. It was attended by about 25 AfDB staff, including members of the equity and funds teams.

Kazyna Capital Management
In 2016 WECM did an intensive three day training for Kazakhstan Fund of Funds Kazyna Capital Management. The training focussed on evaluating fund managers and assessing the portfolio.
The course was rated by attendees 9.0 out of 10.0.
Islamic Development Bank
In 2016, WECM gave a one week course to Jeddah based Islamic Development Bank. The course was attended by a wide range of employees; and focussed on managing private equity investments and developing exit strategies.

JS Bank
In 2017 WECM gave a one week private equity course to Karachi based $50m growth fund JS; a fund linked to banking group JS. It was attended by the PE team, as well as the wider bank staff. The course covered PE investments, as well as managing a captive PE fund within a banking group.

Oman SGRF Course
In 2017 WECM gave a course on direct investments, co-investments and GP assessment to the Omani Sovereign Wealth Fund SGFR. It was attended by around 15 members of staff and lasted 5 days.

Inven Capital
In 2015 WECM gave a one week investments course to Inven Capital, a newly formed €300m Venture Capital Fund based in Prague, focussing on the cleantech energy space, investing primarily in Western Europe.

KFH Group
In 2017 WECM trained Kuwaiti Finance House banking group in Kuwait, on portfolio management, corporate governance and Board membership and exiting their direct investments portfolio. The course was attended by over 20 KFH staff.

In June 2017 WECM gave a course to Schroder Asset Management on the foundations of private equity.
